Well I wanted adventure. I guess I found it. Or it found me.
Extract from Kellen’s Journal
So the day started normal enough. Myself, Atradeus and his men had finally made it to Viliese. I was finally going to become a part of a heroes guild. A least that’s what the growing word was. And if they had the amulet of ultimate evil, they must have some skill to obtain such a prize. As Atradeus and I entered and met the Dragoons however, that is when the attack came.
They had some kind of dragon, and undead rushed at us. Before I had been been properly introduced we were running for our lives, rushing deep into the cellar. We knew they were after the amulet and had to get it to the temple of Silver Flame, so Atradeus made a portal for us to escape by. Much to our sorrow, he was struck down as he completed the spell.
This attack cost him his focus and we ended up in a strange temple, not at all where we needed to be. After some delving, we found some strange dwarven people there. To my shock, a certain companion had a rather intense way of interrogation. Yet we managed to escape the temple, and found ourselves in the middle of a jungle.
Navigating the jungle was hard, especially when Larze came down from a venom bite. Ellywick managed to treat him up, and we only lost 2 days. We also managed across a rather eccentric explorer who helped up on our way back to civilization in exchange for directs to the temple. Yet on our way things did not go smoothly.
Our last night of camping was interrupted by gnomish pick pockets. When we managed to capture and confront them, our luck grew worse as a troll was summoned! Of course, my music was much appreciated by even the beast, but it was hardly the outcome we wanted, needing to fight off such a monster. Yet we did it, and finally found our way to the town of Newport.
Working our way into the town, we realised due to the gnomish thieves, we did not have the gold to buy a ship. So we made gold. With Dragonborn Fist fighting. It was a rather intense match, 3 challengers taking on Torrin but we made plenty of gold from it and were able to purchase passage. Of course, we then offered to work aboard the ship instead and got that for free, but more coin in pocket is always handy.
Tomorrow we set out to sea, I just hope the trip is a little less eventful than these last few days. Hopefully we don’t run into any pirates!
